Contraception

The Implant & Coil (IUD)

The implant is a small flexible rod which goes just under the skin of the upper arm.

The coil (IUD, IntraUterine Device) is a small plastic T-shaped device which sits in the womb.

We'll need to see you first to talk about using either of these methods, then we can arrange a time for you to come back to see us and have the device put in.

For more information on contraception, see the FPA (Family Planning Association) website : www.fpa.org.uk
